Lilaeopsis mauritiana is native to Mauritius, Africa and was discovered in 1992.

It is not very demanding and is just as easy as Lilaeopsis brasiliensis. It can thrive in moderate light but more light will result in lower and more compact growth (via runners). This is yet another excellent foreground plant.
